Meru Central Dairies
Mount Kenya Milk products are processed and packed by Meru Dairy Co-operative Union Limited.
The union is solely owned by farmers in the bigger Meru County and its environs. Mount Kenya Milk has sustained and improved the market share over the last 30 years since its inception.
The Dairy Union has village milk collection centers spread out in Meru County. Once collected, the milk is processed into a wide range of dairy products and distributed throughout Kenya.
Meru county coffee millers cooperative union
MCMCU is situated a kilometer on the outskirts of the Meru town. It is a Union formed in collaboration between Meru Central Coffee Co-operative Union, Meru North Farmers Co-operative Union, owners of coffee estates and the county government being a leading producer of coffee in the region.
After it is received the coffee goes through a milling process, later on the final product is marketed and sold through two main ways: Central coffee auction system and direct sales system or “second window”.
As Part of MCCMCU’s responsibility is to ensure high quality coffee that meets the global standards, educating the farmers on good coffee husbandry that is key to its operations. This component of working with farmers is handled by its training and extension department. Qualified extension staff works with the farmers throughout the year to ensure that it get the right quantity and quality of coffee that meets the demands of its customers.

Meru Multi-purpose Society
It is located at Gitoro along the Meru – Nanyuki highway. Under MMPS they manufacture and marketing of a broad range of human nutrition, animal nutrition and animal health products.
The subsidiaries include Afya Unga Millers and Feeds.
