Giraffe

Giraffes are the tallest mammals on earth. Their legs alone are taller than many human beings with about 6 feet. They can run as fast as 35 miles an hour over a short distance or cruise at 10 miles over long distances.

Giraffes only drink water once in few days .most of their water comes from the plants they eat.

Giraffes spend most of their lives standing up; they even sleep and give birth while standing.

A giraffe needs only 5 to 30 minutes of sleep in a 24 hour period. They achieve this by quick naps that only last a minute or two at a time.

This beautiful animal can live up to 25 years in the wild but in captivity it can live longer for a record of 40 years.
