In Meru County there is an Investment and Development Corporation mandated to promote, attract and support investment activities in various sectors of the county economy. The corporation is by law empowered to own and operate assets on behalf of the county government, profile investment opportunities in the county, enter into investment with the public/private sector through various financing option that include, but not limited to joint ventures, public private partnership, hybrid debt –equity model set; and provide policy advice to the county government. The corporation therefore provides a convenient framework for engagement with the private sector willing to invest in Meru County.
